CanClean is the proud product of over 50 years of industry experience!
With a network of industry-leading businesses and franchises, CanClean is committed to future growth through access to our shared resources, outstanding franchise opportunities and environmentally-conscious business strategies.
1967 - The Initial Investment
Original founder, Gary Franklin, purchases 50% of ServiceMaster distributorship in Hamilton, Ontario.
1973 - Expanding The Dream.
The remaining 50% of ServiceMaster Hamilton is acquired.
1974 - Incorporating CanClean Services Limited (CCS).
Gary pursues his ambitious growth plan by incorporating CanClean Services Limited (CCS). Investors are brought on board through shares sold to family members, friends and franchisees.
1977 - Welcoming Blue Beacon to Canada.
Gary acquires the rights for Blue Beacon in Canada after meeting Charlie Walker, the founder of Blue Beacon in the US.
1996 - Expanding with Truserve Groundscare Inc.
CanClean acquires 50% of Truserve Groundscare Inc. (later renamed Clintar Landscape Management).
2001 - A New Chapter of CanClean Begins.
After incorporating CanClean Financial Corp (CCF), Gary sells his personal holdings in CanClean Services Limited to the new business name. With 25 founding Shareholders, a new chapter of CanClean is formed.
2002 - Introducing IFS Financial Services.
CanClean acquires 1/3rd of IFS Financial Services Inc., an Insurance Premium Finance Business based in Nova Scotia.
2004 - Saying Farewell to Our Founder.
After appointing a new Senior Management Team (consisting of David Stead as President and Brian Anderson as CFO), sadly, Gary loses his courageous battle against cancer.
2005 - Amalgamating the Vision.
Carrying on the legacy, former CanClean Services Limited is 100% amalgamated with CanClean Financial Corp.
2014 - Welcoming Clintar Landscape Management.
CanClean acquires the remaining 50% of Clintar Landscape Management, a commercial landscaping & snow clearing franchise (formerly Truserve Groundscare Inc.).
2017 - Changing of The Guard.
President David Stead retires and Steve Sinodinos is brought on as the new President & CEO of CanClean.
2019 - Prioritizing Tomorrow.
Today, CanClean operates as the umbrella company to a variety of Corporate Property Cleaning and Maintenance Service brands.
